A new study just came out showing the extent of our plastic problem. Fish in remote freshwater Amazon rivers are now jam-packed with plastic. This is very different than the plastic that we find in ocean fish. Oceans have basically been our garbage dumps for decades. They’re the end of the line. But plastic in these pristine Amazon headwaters? Say it ain’t so!
Here’s what happened. We used a bunch of plastic bottles and straws and wear ‘tech’ polyester. We get filled up with plastic. Piranhas eat us. They get filled up with plastic.
We all know how vicious the piranha is. They can clean us down to the bones in under five minutes. In literally under 5 minutes, you’re a skeleton. They don’t have time to worry about plastic. They just eat eat eat!
Let that be a lesson to you: Slow down. Take your time and make sure your food is coming from a good place. Don’t just eat any old thing. It may be full of plastic! And then you’re full of plastic. And on it goes.
Stop the cycle! It’s vicious.
And we thought the monkeys and kangaroos were scary.
In cause you haven’t been following the news, a few weeks ago, we released the story that the animals were starting to fight back, and make us pay for our sins. Animals believe in science and are not taking it lying down. Monkeys and kangaroos have been starting to beat the crap out of people. Our recourse so far has been to poison them with drugs, and to mutate their genes to make them nicer and have more meaty legs for us to eat.
And now we are choking out the piranhas with plastic. This is dangerous territory, needless to say. Piranhas are lethal little suckers. When you see them in a fish-tank, they don’t look like much. They barely even swim around. They just sit there. But don’t be fooled. They can tear us to shreds. And we don’t know how they will react to this news about the plastics.
The one thing we do know… It will be bad. Uh oh.
